In exchanges with foreign countries, we learned that the grease content should account for about 1.5% of the total weight of the steel wire rope. Compared with triangular strands, round strand steel wire ropes have a smaller wire capacity than triangular strands. At the same time, the hemp core content of round strands is much greater than that of triangular strands. The grease content of triangular strands and round strands of the same length is basically the same, but because the hemp core content of triangular strands is less than that of round strands, the grease content in the hemp core of triangular strands is much greater than that of triangular strands. It can be concluded that the probability of vicious oil leakage in round strand wire rope during use is lower than that of triangular strand wire rope.
